Post-presentation

December 12, 2008 at 2:05 pm (Reflection)

During our presentations I was, at first, extremely heartbroken by the fact that Ross, a fellow student, had had exactly the same concept for his final project as I had; he also wanted to make a documentary about homelessness. At first I thought it was a total disaster and that this meant my idea was really weak. But the more I thought about it the more I realised that surely this actually meant we had a really strong subject if we both felt passionate to do it. It must mean that it’s a current and relivant issue. I decided that I might approach him and see if he wanted to do a joint final project. He’s more interested in the photography side of things and I’m more interested in making a moving image piece, so we could help each other and have a joint exhibition of sorts. As I am away for most of the holidays I think I’ll talk to him when we come back for second term.
